Changelog

Release notes for Norviq. Entries are published here as updates ship.

17 October 2026 — Discount Codes, Guides & Reliability Fixes

  • Discount codes at checkout

The Pro and Elite checkout now has an "Add promotion code" field, so valid discount codes can be applied before paying.

  • Expanded free guides

The free trading journal page is now a full guide: what a journal is, what to track, the key numbers and how to review them. The journal template page now explains every column and formula, with steps for Excel and Google Sheets.

  • Website field accepts plain addresses

In Settings, the Website field no longer requires you to type "https://" — enter a plain address like example.com and it is completed for you.

  • Removing an account fully disconnects it

Deleting or disconnecting a broker account now reliably shuts down its live connection. If the shutdown fails, the account stays listed and you are asked to try again instead of it being silently left running.

  • Verification can no longer be self-assigned

New trading accounts can no longer be created with a broker-verified status — verification only comes from a real broker connection, keeping the leaderboard trustworthy.

  • Achievements are now private

Badge achievements no longer appear on public profiles and are visible only to you, since they are based on self-entered journal data.

5 October 2026 — Two-Factor Security, Metric Explanations & Fixes

  • Two-factor authentication (2FA)

You can now protect your account with an authenticator app under Settings. You get 10 one-time backup codes, and after too many wrong codes verification is temporarily locked, with longer waits for repeated failures. A backup code only works for that one sign-in and keeps 2FA switched on. Turning 2FA off requires a current code or an unused backup code.

  • 2FA prompt right after sign-in

If 2FA is on, you are taken to the code screen immediately after signing in, including with Google, instead of reaching the site first.

  • "?" explanations on your numbers

KPIs, charts and the calendar now have a small "?" showing how each figure is calculated. Hover on a computer, or press and hold on a phone.

  • Win rate and flat days

The Win Rate card now shows wins and losses only. A flat day is now a weekday where a trade stayed open the whole day and nothing closed.

  • Password reset asks twice

When setting a new password you now type it twice, and it only updates if both entries match.

  • Account status notices

If an account is suspended or deactivated, you now see a clear notice explaining why, and changes to your data are blocked until it is restored.

  • Mobile and display fixes

The homepage calendar can be swiped sideways on phones so amounts are fully visible, and the guided tour no longer shows keyboard hints on phones. Settings now correctly shows when an email and password sign-in is already set up, and the dashboard welcome box shows your profile name consistently.

  • Legal pages updated

The Privacy Policy and Terms now cover 2FA and account status, and the Cookie Policy and Disclaimer wording was clarified.

28 September 2026 — Guided Tour, Journal Template & Password Reset

  • Take a guided tour of Norviq

The homepage now has a "Take a guided tour" button that walks visitors through the dashboard, trade journal, trading calendar, leaderboard and community in two minutes — no sign-up needed. Everything shown is clearly marked as sample data.

  • Free trading journal template

A new page offers a free downloadable spreadsheet template (works in Excel and Google Sheets) with a trade log, automatic profit & loss and risk calculations, and a summary sheet. No account needed to download it.

  • Password reset links fixed

The button in password reset emails now opens the "set a new password" page instead of the sign-up page. If you requested a reset before this fix, please request a new one.

27 September 2026 — Free Journal, Privacy & Leaderboard Integrity

  • A new home for the free trading journal

There is now a dedicated page showing what you can do with a free Norviq account, including manual trade journaling, performance stats, a trading calendar and the trader community.

  • More control over advertising measurement

Visitors in regions that require consent can choose whether to allow Meta advertising measurement. The choice can be changed later in Cookie settings, and the Cookie and Privacy Policies now explain how this works.

  • Demo accounts stay off the leaderboard

Accounts connected to demo, trial, practice or contest broker servers are now recognized as demo accounts even if they were originally marked Live. They cannot keep live verification or appear in verified rankings. Adding and updating trading accounts continues to work with this check in place.

  • Clearer shared links

Shared Norviq pages now use the latest Norviq artwork. Community post links also show the post’s own title and summary instead of the same generic text for every post.

19 September 2026 — Syncing, Calendar, Owner Tools & Security

  • Account syncing no longer gets stuck

The first sync of a new account used to try to pull years of history in one go and could hang forever on "running". History is now imported in batches that continue exactly where they stopped, and any run stuck for more than 10 minutes is automatically closed as timed out.

  • Trading calendar is readable on phones

Day cells are bigger, with the date and trade count spaced apart so amounts like -$11.50 are no longer cut off. On phones you can now swipe the calendar left and right to see the full month.

  • Correct plan shown on other traders' profiles

Public profiles showed "Free" for members on a paid plan. Visitors now see the correct Pro or Elite tier, without exposing any billing details.

  • Link previews on every page

Sharing any Norviq page — pricing, help, changelog, sign-in — now shows the Norviq preview image instead of bare text.

  • Privacy & security

Avatar and community files are restricted to the people allowed to see them, the sign-in page no longer reveals which method an email uses, and waitlist sign-ups are validated. Cookie and Privacy Policies were updated to describe the cookieless visitor counting exactly as implemented.

  • Fixes

Owner overview statistics (plans, active users, new sign-ups) now calculate correctly; the crown no longer overlaps the "#1" label on the leaderboard; the settings save button is compact on mobile; and profile pictures now carry descriptive labels for screen readers.

14 September 2026 — Logo, Leaderboard Integrity, Insights & Privacy

  • New Norviq logo everywhere

The real boxed Norviq logo now appears in the navigation, footer, sign-in page, settings, browser tab icon, and the link preview shown when sharing norviqtrade.com on social media and messaging apps.

  • Leaderboard — stricter integrity rules

Only verified live trading accounts with an active Pro or Elite plan can appear on the leaderboard. Demo and paper-trading accounts can no longer be Norviq-verified or ranked, and expired subscriptions are removed at the next refresh.

  • Trader DNA — Discipline removed

The Discipline trait relied on manual journal fields, so broker-synced accounts always showed 0. It has been removed and its weight redistributed across the nine fully automatic traits, including the new Patience trait.

  • AI Insights — decimals and smarter comparisons

Small amounts now show cents instead of $0 across insights, patterns and playbook recommendations. The first-vs-latest-20-trades comparison now ranks changes by real significance and ignores noise.

  • Fixes

Calendar cells show decimals for small profits; leaderboard trending cards no longer show "Not enough data"; achievements display correctly; drawdown stats use the right balance base; the Trader DNA radar renders properly in light mode; and the "Back" link on the position size calculator returns to the page you came from.

9 September 2026 — Theme, AI Coach, Comments & Post Editing

  • Theme Update — Light Mode is here

Added a Light / Dark mode toggle across the entire platform. Your choice is saved per device and applied before the page loads — no flash. All navigation, cards, charts, forms, menus, and surfaces now adapt cleanly to both themes.

  • AI Coach — Stats fixed

Drawdown no longer shows a bogus 100%; it now correctly reports actual equity drawdown. Example: one account now shows 10.18% ($250.62) max drawdown instead of 100%. Win rate, profit factor, weekday/time/symbol/streak stats now all use net PnL (after commission + swap).

  • Comments — Deep replies no longer break the layout

Nested reply threads now stop indenting after a few levels and stay inside the comment box.

  • Post Editing — Now works properly

“Edit” on your own post now opens the existing post with all fields pre-filled. Posts can only be edited within 30 minutes of publishing. The 30-minute limit is enforced in the database, not just the UI.
