Terms of Service

These terms set out the agreement between you and Norviq when you use our trading journal, analytics, broker synchronisation, leaderboards and community.

Last updated: 23 August 2026

Internal note — remaining before public launch: a qualified lawyer should sign off on the withdrawal-right wording, and we need a decision on EU OSS / non-Danish tax registration. Everything else — entity name and form, CVR/VAT, address, contact email, VAT-inclusive pricing with Stripe Tax enabled, refund and withdrawal terms, governing law and venue — is now published. This document is not legal advice.

1. Who we are and what these terms cover

Norviq ("Norviq", "we", "us") operates the website at norviqtrade.com and the associated web application (the "Service"). These Terms of Service (the "Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Norviq and apply every time you access or use the Service.

Legal operator details: NorviqTrade (enkeltmandsvirksomhed / sole proprietorship), CVR no. 46706218, VAT DK46706218, Gunderupvej 16, 9260 Gistrup, Denmark. You can contact us at support@norviqtrade.com.

If you do not accept these Terms, you must not create an account or use the Service.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.
  • You must not be barred from using the Service under any applicable law or sanctions regime.
  • You use the Service in your own name and on your own behalf.

Norviq is a software tool. It is not a broker, exchange, investment firm, payment institution or financial adviser, and it is not authorised or supervised as such by any financial regulator.

3. Account creation and sign-in

You can create an account with an email address and password, or by signing in with Google. Email sign-up requires you to confirm your email address before the account becomes usable. Anonymous accounts are not available.

You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access. Sign-in methods that are already linked to your account cannot currently be unlinked from within the Service.

4. What the Service actually provides

The Service currently includes:

  • A trading journal for manual trade entry, CSV import, notes, tags and screenshots.
  • Performance analytics and dashboards computed from the trades stored in your account.
  • Trading account management, including manual journals and broker-connected accounts, with challenge/funded-account rule tracking you configure yourself.
  • Goals, habits, challenges and achievements ("Growth" features).
  • A community forum with posts, comments, reactions, polls and follows.
  • Leaderboards ranking eligible, verified trading accounts.
  • A free position size calculator.
  • In-app notifications and an activity feed.

Norviq does not place, route, execute, modify or close trades, does not hold client funds, and does not offer copy trading, signals, portfolio management or automated trading execution.

5. Trading journal and analytics

Statistics, charts, scores and calculators are derived from the data available in your account. Where you enter data manually or import it, the output is only as accurate as your input.

To keep verified data trustworthy, manual trades cannot be added to broker-synced accounts, and trades cannot be moved into or out of leaderboard-verified accounts. Leaderboard baselines for broker-connected accounts are captured automatically once and cannot be edited by you.

We may change how a metric is defined or calculated in order to correct errors or improve accuracy. This can change previously displayed figures.

6. Broker connections and account synchronisation

You may connect MetaTrader 4 or MetaTrader 5 accounts. Synchronisation is performed through MetaApi (Agilium Trade), a third-party provider. Other platforms shown in the interface as "coming soon" are not functional.

You must only supply read-only / investor credentials. Credentials you supply are encrypted (AES-256-GCM) before storage and are not returned to your browser. You are responsible for ensuring that sharing these credentials does not breach your agreement with your broker or prop firm.

Synchronisation is periodic, not real-time. Balances, equity and closed trade history are refreshed only when a sync completes. Norviq does not guarantee that a sync will succeed, be timely, or capture every deal, and depends entirely on your broker and MetaApi remaining available.

You can delete a connected trading account at any time from the Service. Doing so removes the remote sync account at MetaApi and permanently deletes the account's connection, baseline ledger, leaderboard snapshots and all trades belonging to that account, including broker-verified ones. This cannot be undone.

7. Verification and leaderboards

Leaderboards display only accounts that are broker-verified, marked public by you, and that meet the eligibility rules in force (currently a minimum of 10 trades). Leaderboard statistics are measured from the point of Norviq verification, not from your account's entire history.

"Verified" means the data was received through an automated broker sync. It is not an audit, endorsement, or assurance of accuracy, and does not mean Norviq has validated your identity, your broker or your results. We may recalculate, correct, hide or remove rankings and may exclude accounts where we reasonably suspect manipulation.

8. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • Manipulate, falsify or game statistics, verification or leaderboard rankings.
  • Upload another person's trading data or credentials without their permission.
  • Post unlawful, abusive, hateful, harassing, deceptive or infringing content.
  • Solicit funds, sell signals, promote scams or offer investment services through the community.
  • Attempt to access other users' data, bypass access controls, or probe or attack the Service.
  • Scrape, resell or systematically extract data from the Service without our written consent.
  • Use the Service to breach the rules of your broker, exchange or prop firm.

9. User-generated content

You keep ownership of the content you submit (posts, comments, journal notes, screenshots, profile information). You grant Norviq a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce and display that content solely to operate and provide the Service. For content you deliberately publish (community posts, public profile fields, leaderboard entries) this licence covers showing it to other users of the Service.

You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the rights to it. We may remove content that breaches these Terms or applicable law, and staff actions of this kind are logged.

10. What other users can see

Profiles, community content and leaderboards are visible to signed-in users of the Service. You control several visibility settings, including whether your activity is public, whether you appear on leaderboards, whether your country is shown, and whether an individual trading account is public.

Aggregated, non-identifying totals (for example the total number of traders, trades and combined verified profit and loss) are shown publicly on our website.

11. Subscriptions and plans

Norviq offers a Free plan and paid Pro and Elite plans, each available on a monthly or yearly billing interval. Paid features are unlocked while your subscription is active; if it ends or lapses, you keep access to your data but paid features become unavailable.

Prices and plan contents are those displayed in the Service at the time you subscribe. We may change plan pricing or contents for future billing periods, with reasonable notice.

12. Billing and payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. Norviq does not receive or store your full card details. By subscribing you also accept Stripe's terms as our payment processor.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, at the then-current price, until cancelled. Your subscription status in the Service is updated from Stripe automatically; short delays are possible.

Taxes are calculated automatically by Stripe based on the billing address and any tax ID you provide at checkout. The amount of tax, if any, is shown before you confirm payment and on your receipt. Norviq does not apply fixed or hard-coded tax rates.

Norviq is VAT-registered in Denmark under VAT no. DK46706218. Listed prices are shown inclusive of VAT for consumers, so the price you see is the price you pay; the VAT element is itemised by Stripe at checkout and on your receipt. Business customers who supply a valid EU VAT ID may be invoiced without VAT under the reverse-charge rules, in which case the VAT element is removed from the total. Stripe Tax is enabled on our account and determines the correct rate for your location automatically. [TO BE COMPLETED: whether Norviq registers for EU OSS or any tax registration outside Denmark] [LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED: tax treatment of cross-border digital subscriptions]

13. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time through the billing portal available from your Billing page, which opens Stripe's customer portal. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan remains active until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Deleting your Norviq account also cancels an active subscription immediately, so no further charges are made. Neither cancelling nor deleting your account produces a refund of the remaining part of a period already paid for.

14. Refunds, and withdrawal rights for consumers

Norviq does not offer voluntary refunds. Subscriptions are billed in advance for a fixed period. If you cancel, or delete your account, the cancellation takes effect for future renewals and we do not voluntarily refund the unused remainder of a period you have already paid for. There are no voluntary pro-rata refunds.

This policy does not override mandatory consumer rights. Where the law that applies to you requires a refund — for example because of a statutory withdrawal right, a defect, or a non-conformity in the service — that right applies regardless of this section, and we will honour it.

Digital services and the 14-day withdrawal right (EU/EEA consumers). Norviq is supplied to you as a digital service that becomes available immediately after payment. As a consumer in the EU/EEA you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract under the Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU), implemented in Denmark by the Danish Consumer Contracts Act (forbrugeraftaleloven). Before checkout, we ask you to give your express consent that performance begins immediately and to acknowledge that you thereby lose the 14-day right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed. If you do not give that consent, the 14-day period runs normally and you may withdraw by contacting support@norviqtrade.com within 14 days of your purchase; in that case we refund the amount paid, less a proportionate amount for the part of the service already supplied.

Consumers outside the EU/EEA have whatever withdrawal or cooling-off right their own law gives them; we do not claim that every customer has, or loses, such a right. [LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED: final wording of the withdrawal notice and the checkout acknowledgement text, and the countries in which it is effective]

To raise a refund or withdrawal request, contact support@norviqtrade.com.

15. Third-party services

The Service depends on third parties, including Supabase (database, authentication, file storage), Stripe (payments), MetaApi (MetaTrader synchronisation), Google (optional sign-in) and our hosting provider. Their availability and terms are outside our control, and a failure or change at one of them may degrade or interrupt the Service.

Links to external resources, including our Discord server, are provided for convenience; we are not responsible for third-party content or conduct.

16. Third-party and broker data

Data received from brokers, prop firms and MetaApi is provided "as is". Norviq does not verify its accuracy, completeness or timeliness and is not liable for errors, gaps, delays or mispricing in that data or in any statistic derived from it.

17. Service availability

The Service is provided without any uptime guarantee or service level agreement. We may suspend access for maintenance, security or technical reasons, and features may be added, changed or removed. Data synchronisation, notifications and scheduled jobs may be delayed or fail.

18. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access, remove content, or exclude an account from leaderboards if you breach these Terms, if we reasonably suspect fraud or manipulation, or if required by law.

You may stop using the Service at any time. You can delete individual trading accounts, and you can delete your entire Norviq account yourself from Settings. Deleting your account removes your user-owned data, including your community posts, comments, reactions and follows — Norviq does not keep anonymised "deleted user" placeholders. You can also download a copy of your data first. See the Privacy Policy for details.

19. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, name, logos, text and metric methodologies, belongs to Norviq or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property law. You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, resell or create derivative works from it, except where such restriction is prohibited by mandatory law.

20. Disclaimer

Norviq is a software, journaling and analytics platform. It does not provide investment advice, personal recommendations, portfolio management or tax advice, and nothing in the Service is an offer or solicitation to trade any financial instrument.

To the extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. See our Disclaimer and Risk Disclosure, which form part of these Terms.

21. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Norviq is not liable for trading losses, lost profits, lost opportunities, loss of data, failed prop-firm challenges, or any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service — including from inaccurate statistics, failed or delayed broker synchronisation, or third-party outages.

Where we are liable, our total aggregate liability is limited to the amount you paid to Norviq for the Service in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for fraud, gross negligence, death or personal injury, or any liability that cannot be excluded under the mandatory consumer law that applies to you.

22. Changes to the Service

Norviq is under active development. We may add, modify, restrict or discontinue features, including moving a feature between plans. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will give reasonable notice.

23. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the current version. For material changes affecting your rights we will provide reasonable advance notice through the Service or by email. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.

24. Governing law, disputes and complaints

Norviq is operated from Denmark and used internationally. These Terms are governed by Danish law, with the Danish courts, with Retten i Aalborg as the court of first instance having jurisdiction.

Whatever law is later chosen, it will not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer rules of the country in which you habitually reside.

Complaints. Please contact us first at support@norviqtrade.com so we can try to resolve the issue directly. If we cannot:

  • Consumers in Denmark can complain to the Danish Competition and Consumer Authority's Center for Klageløsning, Nævnenes Hus, Toldboden 2, 8800 Viborg (naevneneshus.dk), subject to that scheme's monetary thresholds.
  • Consumers elsewhere in the EU/EEA may be able to use their national alternative dispute resolution body, or contact their local European Consumer Centre.
  • Consumers outside the EU/EEA should refer to the consumer protection authority or dispute resolution scheme that applies where they live.

Norviq is established in Denmark, so the Danish scheme above is the primary route for consumers; which body is competent in an individual case still depends on the claim and where you live.
